About This Project
THE CHALLENGE
A mid-century home above Lake Whatcom with plank ceilings, exposed beams, and a wall of glass facing the water. Rooms like these punish uneven paint — daylight off the lake rakes across every surface — and the owner wanted one warm color to carry the living room, kitchen, stairwell, half bath, and bedrooms without fighting the white ceilings.
OUR APPROACH
Every room got the full prep pass first: holes and dings filled, loose paint scraped, trim and windows masked, floors covered. Then the walls were cut in by hand and rolled smooth in Creamy, a soft warm white that lets the beams and lake light do the talking. The stairwell took ladder work and patience; the bedrooms wrapped the project so the owners always had somewhere finished to land.
