Why Skagit County Homeowners Choose a Local Painter
From Anacortes to Sedro-Woolley, our crews cover Skagit County with the same prep-first approach that earned a 4.9-star rating across 188 reviews. Our wet Pacific Northwest weather is hard on paint, so every proposal starts with prep.
Wet winters and damp Skagit County air accelerate mildew and coating failure, especially on north-facing and shaded walls.
Skagit County has plenty of homes built before 1978, where old coatings need careful, lead-safe prep. As an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm, our crews handle scraping and sanding on older siding the safe, legal way — and we schedule every exterior around real Skagit County weather windows.

Painting Homes Across Skagit County
From Anacortes shoreline homes to valley farmhouses, Skagit County properties face everything from salt spray to river-valley damp — no two projects prep the same.
Tulip fields, tide flats, and timber towns — Skagit County's homes are as varied as its landscape, and our southern route has been painting all of them with the same crews and standards we built in Bellingham.
River, Flats, and Tulips: A Short History of Skagit County
The county is named for the Upper and Lower Skagit peoples, who have lived along the river for thousands of years; ancestors of the Upper Skagit were quarrying chert at Hozomeen at least 8,000 years ago. The Samish and Swinomish held the islands and the coast.
Skagit County was formed in 1883 from the southern part of Whatcom County, and Mount Vernon became the seat the following year. Logging came first, then the log jams were cleared, the dikes went in, and the river delta turned into some of the richest farmland in the state.
The tulips arrived when Bellingham's growers moved south after the freezes of the 1920s, and today the valley grows about 75 percent of the country's commercial tulips along with blueberries and strawberries. The 2020 census counted 129,523 people, from the Anacortes waterfront to the mill towns up the river.
For a painter, Skagit County is tulip fields, tide flats, and timber towns, and its homes are as varied as its landscape. Our southern route paints all of them with the same crews and standards we built in Bellingham, prepped for salt on the coast and damp in the valley.
