About This Project

A newer Ferndale home with a vaulted great room and a stone fireplace surround — big walls, tall peaks, and an entryway panel that needed drywall repair before any color could go on. The owners wanted one warm neutral through the main spaces and something calmer for the main bedroom.

The drywall repair came first: the entryway panel was patched, sanded, and primed flush so you can't find the repair under the new paint. Every wall was filled, scraped, and masked off from the trim, then cut in by hand and rolled in a smooth double layer — two full coats of SuperPaint. Worldly Gray runs through the great room, stairwell, and main spaces; the main bedroom got Balmy, a soft blue that reads quiet against the dark floors.
