About This Project

A busy family kitchen with a pressed-tin backsplash and dark counters, where the cabinets had gone dull and worn from daily use. Twenty doors and drawer fronts needed to come back crisp without shutting the kitchen down for weeks.

Doors, drawers, and hardware came off and got numbered for exact reinstallation. Everything was degreased, puttied, and caulked, then lightly sanded, primed, primer-sanded, and finished in Snowbound — a soft white with just enough warmth to sit comfortably against the tin backsplash. Fronts were sprayed away from the house while the boxes were finished in place, and the kitchen kept working the whole time.
