About This Project
THE CHALLENGE
A well-kept Bellingham kitchen wearing its original golden oak: 35 doors and drawer fronts with old hardware holes to fill, arched uppers, and a peninsula that faced the living room with plain panels. The owner wanted the oak gone and something calm and colorful in its place.
OUR APPROACH
Doors and drawers came off, numbered, and every old hardware hole was filled and sanded flush. After degreasing, masking, puttying, and a sanded prime coat, everything was sprayed in two coats of Emerald Urethane in a soft blue-green the owner chose. The peninsula got new board-and-batten trim before paint, so what used to be a flat panel now reads as furniture from the living-room side.
