“Daniel was great to work with, prompt in his communication & patient with us when “we” (HOA of condos) took longer to decide than a standard homeowner. The platform they use for quotes removes access to it after 30 days so we had to ask for an extension to be able to review. They were able to paint the building w/in a few weeks, main delay being a typical PNW early fall wind/rain storm. We were using the same color of paint as previous. But there is no obvious signs of over spray or missed areas. There was a fair amount of rot repair we needed to add onto the bid & it was a reasonable fee. There was some minor disruption to the flower beds around the property, nature of the business when using ladders. Nothing significant, a few shrub branches (small). I bet it will be all good by the spring. Again, nature of the work. I do not feel they were caress. I would use them again on future projects. I did not interact with the persons who were doing the labor in site, but I also did not receive negative feedback from other owners/tenants.”

About This Project

THE CHALLENGE

A three-story Ferndale condominium building with balconies on every unit, an occupied parking level below, and eighteen trim boards gone soft from years of weather. The association wanted the building's existing color scheme kept — which sounds simple until you're matching aged paint across a whole elevation and the new coat has to disappear into the old.

OUR APPROACH

The building got a full pressure wash, fresh caulk at every window and siding seam, and a complete scrape-down before any paint moved. Eighteen rotted trim boards came off and were replaced with lumber matched to the originals, stopped clear of the concrete so water can't wick back in. Everything was primed in Peel Bond — the right call over aged, chalky paint — then the siding went on in a sprayed double layer of Satin with fascia, window trim, and corner boards brushed in two coats, all matched to the association's existing colors. Residents kept their balconies and parking through the whole job.
