About This Project

The HOA's management company brought us in for the details that make an older condo building look tired: thirty window trims that had weathered, plus metal railings and a privacy fence starting to show rust. Metal is its own trade — paint it like wood and it peels in a season.

The window trim got the standard exterior prep — wash, re-caulk, scrape — and two sprayed coats of SuperPaint. The railings and fence were a different job: scrubbed clean, sanded with fine grit to cut the rust back, primed with a high-build alkyd rust-inhibiting primer, then finished in SuperPaint section by section so every pass overlapped wet. Residents kept full use of the building the whole time.
