About This Project

A rambler under heavy tree cover near Lake Whatcom, pale and tired — with woodpecker holes drilled through the gable ends, the forest's own contribution to the prep list. Shade, moisture, and bird damage all had to be handled before color.

The woodpecker holes were filled and faired first, the gable ends made sound, then Peel Bond primer across the shaded, chalky siding. The color turn: Dried Thyme, an earthy olive-green that makes a wooded lot look intentional instead of dim, with Antique White trim warming the windows against all that evergreen. Garage door finished to match. Two coats of SuperPaint throughout.
