About This Project

A wooded Bellingham cabin that had disappeared into its own trees — dark brown on brown under a closed canopy. The owner wanted the opposite: color that would glow in the forest shade, on the house and the shed both.

Everything was primed in Peel Bond, then the flip: Relish, a fresh spring green with yellow in it that catches whatever light the canopy allows, with Earl Grey trim keeping the edges quiet and the front door in Butter Up — a soft butter yellow that makes the entry the brightest thing on the property. The shed got the full scheme too, cross-buck doors and all.
