About This Project

A single-level home wrapped in a serious garden outside Blaine — clipped hedges, stone paths, a long covered porch — whose washed-out blue-gray had nothing to say to all that landscaping. The owner wanted the house to join the garden.

A two-color scheme that takes its cue from the yard: the trim, porch railings, and front door in Lounge Green — a leafy sage that ties straight into the hedges — over a soft cream body, with the porch soffit, garage door, and three other doors in Dover White. The porch floor was finished separately in Perfect Greige deck paint, built to be walked on. All SuperPaint satin, brushed where the detail demanded it.
