About This Project

A sprawling rambler in builder tan, brick wainscot and shake gables included. Nothing was wrong with it — which was the problem. The owners wanted contrast and depth without repainting into the same gray as every neighbor.

Peel Bond primer, then Dovetail on the body — a true mid-gray with warmth in it — with the trim run in Pure White using Duration for its extra film build on the most weather-exposed boards. The garage door went body-color Dovetail so the whole front reads long and low and intentional. Sprayed satin body, brushed trim, two coats throughout.
