About This Project

A Bellingham home gone flat brown, with siding seams opening up and a gutter system that needed attention along with the paint. The owners wanted lighter, cooler color — and a coating that would actually shrug off the county's nine wet months instead of just surviving them.

Siding seams were finish-nailed tight and the gutter system handled before color. Then Peel Bond primer and a full coat-out in Emerald Rain Refresh — Sherwin's self-cleaning exterior line that sheds dirt with the rain, a smart match for a shaded lot. Silver Strand on the body, a beachy gray-green that reads silver in overcast light; Ice Cube on the trim; and the shingle gables picked out in Illusive Green for quiet contrast. Garage and back door finished to match.
