The Right Product for Your Cabinets
Every kitchen gets one of these four coatings. None of them is wall paint, and the difference shows up the first time someone scrubs a door.
Catalyzed Urethane Enamel
When a kitchen sees hard daily use, we spray this. The two parts cross-link as they cure, so the finish ends up closer to a factory shell than to paint.
Refinishing vs. Replacing in Whatcom County
Countywide, cabinet refinishing runs $3,000–$8,000 against replacement starting near $20,000. The equation doesn't change from Blaine to Sumas: sound boxes plus sprayed enamel beats demolition almost every time.
One week of work, a written estimate first, and a finish that reads factory-made.
Why Sprayed Beats Brushed
Each door is numbered, removed, and finished at our shop under conditions a job site can't offer. What comes back looks less like painted wood and more like new cabinetry.
Frames are sprayed in place with the room fully protected. The payoff comes at reassembly, when doors and frames meet in the same unbroken factory sheen.
A Finish That Survives Real Cooking
We plan for the worst kitchen day, not the best. Sprayed cabinet enamels take the chips, moisture, and scrubbing that would strip an ordinary painted surface.
The coating reaches full hardness two to three weeks after we leave. Treat it gently until then; after that, normal cleaning is all it asks. The care card on your counter covers the rest.
Colors That Work in Northwest Light
Choosing cabinet color in Whatcom County means reckoning with three climates in one county — coastal salt, valley fog, and foothill rain. We brush samples onto your actual doors so the shortlist competes in the light it will live in.
Most shortlists end at a warm white, a soft green, or a deep blue. We won't let you commit from a paper chip — sprayed sample doors in your kitchen's light make the call.

What Our Customers Say
"Hilltop Painting provided expert ideas about our kitchen cabinet restoration and paint colors! They also painted our interior walls and baseboards. The team worked hard and efficiently. It was really nice that they asked us several times if we were satisfied with their work."
"Good teamwork-great results. Hope to get them back for another project."
"Hilltop painting did an amazing job on my very large(whole wall) bookcase. It was a huge endeavor with many shelves and drawers and with many sandings, primer coats and top coats. I am very happy with this job. Daniel was prompt to respond to my requests and questions and very good about communication every day."

Noisy Water: A Short History of Whatcom County
People have lived here for at least twelve thousand years. The Lummi held the coast from Point Whitehorn to Chuckanut Bay and the islands, the Nooksack the valley between Lynden and Maple Falls, and the Semiahmoo the north end near Blaine. The county's name comes from the Lummi word Xwotʼqom, noisy water, for the falls on Whatcom Creek.
The territorial legislature carved Whatcom County out of Island County on March 9, 1854, a county that then stretched over what became San Juan County in 1873 and Skagit County in 1883. The 1855 Treaty of Point Elliott confined the Lummi and Semiahmoo to a reservation, and the Fraser Canyon gold rush of 1857 and 1858 briefly swelled the population past 10,000 before the bubble burst. Survey crews marking the border on the 49th parallel in 1857 left a few settlers behind.
Mount Baker, Kulshan to the Nooksack, watches over all of it. Today the county is home to 226,847 people, grows about 60 percent of the country's raspberries, and runs from the border to Bellingham Bay to the Cascades in three different climates.
Kitchens across the county run from painted originals to 90s honey oak, and every one of them gets a bonding primer, off-site sprayed doors, and hand-finished boxes.
