Every Kind of Commercial Space in Whatcom County
Pick your property type — the plan, products, and schedule change with it.
Offices & Professional Suites
Weekend and evening repaints so your team never works around wet paint. Low-odor, fast-cure coatings mean the office smells like an office on Monday morning.
Commercial Painting, Countywide
Offices in Bellingham, storefronts in Lynden, resort property in Semiahmoo, farm buildings in Custer: Whatcom County's commercial mix is wide, and we paint all of it with systems matched to each building's exposure.
Three climates in one county means prep is never one-size-fits-all, and neither are our estimates.
Built Around Your Operation
Phased schedules, after-hours work, resident and tenant notices handled. The building gets painted; the business never stops.
What Whatcom County Businesses Can Expect
Schedules that hold, commercial-grade coatings, and paperwork handled before the first drop cloth goes down.
Painting That Works Around Your Business Hours
Downtime costs you money, so we build the schedule around your hours — nights, weekends, or phased areas — and hit the dates in the contract. That's true for every Whatcom County business we serve, from single storefronts to multi-building properties.
A dedicated project manager coordinates with your staff or property manager daily, and every crew member is badged, insured, and background-checked.
Coatings Built for High Traffic
Lobbies, corridors, and retail floors need scuff-resistant, scrubbable finishes — not homeowner-grade paint. We spec commercial urethanes and epoxies where traffic demands it, and low-VOC systems for occupied spaces like offices and clinics.
The result reads clean years longer between repaint cycles.
Multi-Family & Property Management
We handle unit turns, common areas, and full exterior repaints for Whatcom County's apartment and condo communities — with per-unit pricing that makes budgeting simple.
Ask about standing agreements: many local property managers keep us on call for turnovers.
Licensed, Insured, and COI-Ready
Hilltop Painting is licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington. Certificates of insurance are provided before work starts — no chasing paperwork.
Detailed, itemized proposals arrive within 48 hours of the walkthrough.
Exact Brand & Color Matching
Franchise spec sheet or a single faded chip — we match it exactly with Sherwin-Williams commercial systems, and document the formula for future touch-ups.
Your locations stay consistent, your brand stays sharp.
Maintenance & Repaint Programs
Annual touch-up cycles and scheduled repaints keep your property looking sharp and your budget predictable — no surprise capital expense every few years.
One call, same crew, year after year.

Noisy Water: A Short History of Whatcom County
People have lived here for at least twelve thousand years. The Lummi held the coast from Point Whitehorn to Chuckanut Bay and the islands, the Nooksack the valley between Lynden and Maple Falls, and the Semiahmoo the north end near Blaine. The county's name comes from the Lummi word Xwotʼqom, noisy water, for the falls on Whatcom Creek.
The territorial legislature carved Whatcom County out of Island County on March 9, 1854, a county that then stretched over what became San Juan County in 1873 and Skagit County in 1883. The 1855 Treaty of Point Elliott confined the Lummi and Semiahmoo to a reservation, and the Fraser Canyon gold rush of 1857 and 1858 briefly swelled the population past 10,000 before the bubble burst. Survey crews marking the border on the 49th parallel in 1857 left a few settlers behind.
Mount Baker, Kulshan to the Nooksack, watches over all of it. Today the county is home to 226,847 people, grows about 60 percent of the country's raspberries, and runs from the border to Bellingham Bay to the Cascades in three different climates.
From Bellingham's downtown brick to the industrial parks near Ferndale and the storefronts of the small towns, we match coatings to the substrate and schedules to the business.
