Every Kind of Commercial Space in Ferndale
Pick your property type β the plan, products, and schedule change with it.
Offices & Professional Suites
Weekend and evening repaints so your team never works around wet paint. Low-odor, fast-cure coatings mean the office smells like an office on Monday morning.
A Growing Town's Commercial Mix
Ferndale's Main Street storefronts, the offices around it, and the multi-family going up off Thornton all need different things. Storefronts want fast, clean turnarounds; multi-family wants phasing and notices; offices want weekends.
River moisture and flat-land wind set the prep standard for every exterior.
Zero Disruption Isn't a Slogan
It's a schedule we write down: which entrance, which day, which hours. You approve it before we start.
What Ferndale Businesses Can Expect
Schedules that hold, commercial-grade coatings, and paperwork handled before the first drop cloth goes down.
Painting That Works Around Your Business Hours
Downtime costs you money, so we build the schedule around your hours β nights, weekends, or phased areas β and hit the dates in the contract. That's true for every Ferndale business we serve, from single storefronts to multi-building properties.
A dedicated project manager coordinates with your staff or property manager daily, and every crew member is badged, insured, and background-checked.
Coatings Built for High Traffic
Lobbies, corridors, and retail floors need scuff-resistant, scrubbable finishes β not homeowner-grade paint. We spec commercial urethanes and epoxies where traffic demands it, and low-VOC systems for occupied spaces like offices and clinics.
The result reads clean years longer between repaint cycles.
Multi-Family & Property Management
We handle unit turns, common areas, and full exterior repaints for Ferndale's apartment and condo communities β with per-unit pricing that makes budgeting simple.
Ask about standing agreements: many local property managers keep us on call for turnovers.
Licensed, Insured, and COI-Ready
Hilltop Painting is licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington. Certificates of insurance are provided before work starts β no chasing paperwork.
Detailed, itemized proposals arrive within 48 hours of the walkthrough.
Exact Brand & Color Matching
Franchise spec sheet or a single faded chip β we match it exactly with Sherwin-Williams commercial systems, and document the formula for future touch-ups.
Your locations stay consistent, your brand stays sharp.
Maintenance & Repaint Programs
Annual touch-up cycles and scheduled repaints keep your property looking sharp and your budget predictable β no surprise capital expense every few years.
One call, same crew, year after year.

The Town Named for Its Ferns: A Short History of Ferndale
The Lummi had a settlement on the prairie along the east bank of the Nooksack long before anyone else arrived, and the Lummi Nation still borders the city today. Early settlers called this stretch of river the lower crossing, to tell it apart from the main crossing upstream at Everson.
Billy Clark, a Texan who came north during the gold rush, was the first full-time settler, and the town dates its start to 1872. It was called Jam at first, for the log jam in the river beside it, until the first schoolteacher decided the ferns growing around the schoolhouse made a better name. Ferndale incorporated on March 19, 1907.
For most of the next century it stayed a farm and river town. That changed in the last few decades: with 15,048 people at the 2020 census it is now the third largest city in Whatcom County, and the new neighborhoods off Thornton Road are some of the fastest-growing streets we paint.
From the Main Street storefronts to the industrial buildings out toward Cherry Point, we schedule around business hours and spec coatings for metal, block, and wood as the building needs.
