Every Kind of Commercial Space in Mount Vernon
Pick your property type — the plan, products, and schedule change with it.
Offices & Professional Suites
Weekend and evening repaints so your team never works around wet paint. Low-odor, fast-cure coatings mean the office smells like an office on Monday morning.
Downtown to the East Side
Mount Vernon commercial runs from historic downtown storefronts to new east-side office and multi-family. Older masonry wants breathable coatings; new construction wants the spec followed to the letter. We do both.
Valley fog is the quiet enemy here, so exterior windows of dry weather get used well.
Tulip Season Is a Deadline
When the valley fills with visitors every April, storefronts want to be ready. We work backward from that calendar with you.
What Mount Vernon Businesses Can Expect
Schedules that hold, commercial-grade coatings, and paperwork handled before the first drop cloth goes down.
Painting That Works Around Your Business Hours
Downtime costs you money, so we build the schedule around your hours — nights, weekends, or phased areas — and hit the dates in the contract. That's true for every Mount Vernon business we serve, from single storefronts to multi-building properties.
A dedicated project manager coordinates with your staff or property manager daily, and every crew member is badged, insured, and background-checked.
Coatings Built for High Traffic
Lobbies, corridors, and retail floors need scuff-resistant, scrubbable finishes — not homeowner-grade paint. We spec commercial urethanes and epoxies where traffic demands it, and low-VOC systems for occupied spaces like offices and clinics.
The result reads clean years longer between repaint cycles.
Multi-Family & Property Management
We handle unit turns, common areas, and full exterior repaints for Mount Vernon's apartment and condo communities — with per-unit pricing that makes budgeting simple.
Ask about standing agreements: many local property managers keep us on call for turnovers.
Licensed, Insured, and COI-Ready
Hilltop Painting is licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington. Certificates of insurance are provided before work starts — no chasing paperwork.
Detailed, itemized proposals arrive within 48 hours of the walkthrough.
Exact Brand & Color Matching
Franchise spec sheet or a single faded chip — we match it exactly with Sherwin-Williams commercial systems, and document the formula for future touch-ups.
Your locations stay consistent, your brand stays sharp.
Maintenance & Repaint Programs
Annual touch-up cycles and scheduled repaints keep your property looking sharp and your budget predictable — no surprise capital expense every few years.
One call, same crew, year after year.

Log Jams, Courthouses, and Tulips: A Short History of Mount Vernon
Jasper Gates and Joseph Dwelley settled the riverbank in 1870, and Harrison Clothier arrived in 1877 to teach school and open a store with his former student E.G. English. They laid out the town while it was still heavy timber and named it for George Washington's estate. A massive ancient log jam in the Skagit kept big boats out, so mail came down by canoe, and by 1881 the permanent population was 75.
Things turned in November 1884, when Mount Vernon took the county seat from La Conner. The Great Northern laid its line through town in 1891, the city incorporated on July 5, 1893, and the brick courthouse from that year still stands on Main Street. Fires in 1891, 1900, and 1903 took the original wooden downtown, the 1894 flood brought the first dike, and the interurban to Bellingham opened in 1912.
The tulips came later. Bellingham held a tulip festival from 1920 to 1930, then freezes and the Depression pushed the growers south into Skagit County, where William Roozen bought the Washington Bulb Company in 1955. Every April the valley fills with visitors, and the city of 35,219 hosts the street fair downtown.
Downtown's brick blocks, the riverfront, and the commercial strips along College Way and Riverside Drive all need durable coatings and schedules that keep businesses open, tulip season included.
