Every Kind of Commercial Space in Fairhaven
Pick your property type β the plan, products, and schedule change with it.
Offices & Professional Suites
Weekend and evening repaints so your team never works around wet paint. Low-odor, fast-cure coatings mean the office smells like an office on Monday morning.
Painting in a Historic District
Fairhaven's brick-and-timber storefronts come with standards, and we like it that way. Color choices that fit the district, prep that protects century-old substrates, and finish work sharp enough for the foot traffic to inspect daily.
We've painted around retail hours here for years: evenings, early mornings, whatever the shop needs.
Multi-Family Off the Green
Apartment and condo properties in and around the district get phased schedules and resident notices handled for you.
What Fairhaven Businesses Can Expect
Schedules that hold, commercial-grade coatings, and paperwork handled before the first drop cloth goes down.
Painting That Works Around Your Business Hours
Downtime costs you money, so we build the schedule around your hours β nights, weekends, or phased areas β and hit the dates in the contract. That's true for every Fairhaven business we serve, from single storefronts to multi-building properties.
A dedicated project manager coordinates with your staff or property manager daily, and every crew member is badged, insured, and background-checked.
Coatings Built for High Traffic
Lobbies, corridors, and retail floors need scuff-resistant, scrubbable finishes β not homeowner-grade paint. We spec commercial urethanes and epoxies where traffic demands it, and low-VOC systems for occupied spaces like offices and clinics.
The result reads clean years longer between repaint cycles.
Multi-Family & Property Management
We handle unit turns, common areas, and full exterior repaints for Fairhaven's apartment and condo communities β with per-unit pricing that makes budgeting simple.
Ask about standing agreements: many local property managers keep us on call for turnovers.
Licensed, Insured, and COI-Ready
Hilltop Painting is licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington. Certificates of insurance are provided before work starts β no chasing paperwork.
Detailed, itemized proposals arrive within 48 hours of the walkthrough.
Exact Brand & Color Matching
Franchise spec sheet or a single faded chip β we match it exactly with Sherwin-Williams commercial systems, and document the formula for future touch-ups.
Your locations stay consistent, your brand stays sharp.
Maintenance & Repaint Programs
Annual touch-up cycles and scheduled repaints keep your property looking sharp and your budget predictable β no surprise capital expense every few years.
One call, same crew, year after year.

What Our Customers Say
"I can't say enough good things about Hilltop Painting! We discussed our project with a number of companies and received a crazy range of quotes, from $20k to $130k. We found out later that the least expensive option didn't include trim repair or the proper equipment to tackle our slope."
"The crew was very prompt, courteous, efficient and detail oriented. They even painted the letters on the building! The building looks terrific and we are extremely happy with the work. We highly recommend Hilltop Painting."
"Hilltop painting, LLC did an outstanding job on our project. Not only did they complete the exterior painting with great attention to detail, but they also replace and repair the exterior siding, given our building a completely refreshed look. The workmanship was excellent, and the project was completed on time."

Dirty Dan's Boomtown: A Short History of Fairhaven
Dan Harris, known around the bay as Dirty Dan, arrived in 1853 or 1854 and eventually held the land claim along Padden Creek. He named the place Fairhaven, from the Lummi name see-see-lich-em, meaning safe port, and platted the town in 1883.
Nelson Bennett and Charles Larrabee formed the Fairhaven Land Company in 1890 and sold the town hard as the coming terminus of the Great Northern. The population went from about 150 in 1889 to 8,000 by the end of 1890, and Fairhaven incorporated on May 13, 1890. The railroad chose Seattle instead, but the brick blocks built in that rush still stand along Harris Avenue and 11th Street.
Fairhaven voted to join Whatcom on October 27, 1903, and the merged city of Bellingham was born that December. Salmon kept the district working long after the boom: by the 1940s Pacific American Fisheries, headquartered here, was the largest salmon canning operation in the world. The 1903 Carnegie library on 12th Street still checks out books, and the whole district is on the National Register.
The commercial blocks are brick with wood storefronts, so the paint work is mostly trim, doors, and signage bands, done around shop hours and with the district's color guidance in mind.
